Pillow Talk Live: Things Looking up Thanks to Better than Good Expectations
I couldn’t characterize myself as pleasantly happy as an “independent” (aka: naturally single) person and be 100% truthful. However, I’m not uncomfortable with the reality of life, either. I just bring it up on the blogosphere as an ear-catching piece of info setting up the story I will shortly reveal to you
Last Monday yours truly was talking to Sandy, thinking of buying a membership to a Dallas Singles dating service. You prolly couldn’t guess that, I write to my readers as a surprisingly pleased member of the matchmaking service. No kidding, it’s true. I like it! If you know me at all, you may be wondering, “You got some ’splainin to do, Lucy!”
Here’s how it went down, I saw these Great Expectations Reviews and liked what I saw. They’re for the serious singles who think dating doesn’t have to be so frivolous and stupid.
‘Cause I’d never been too big on the ridiculous nightlife ritual serial daters (ie: everyone I know) have christened “The Dating Experience.” I faced it all the time. Day and night friends pester, “Are you two serious yet?” and “You should date!”
“Nonsense,” I banter right back, smiling ear to ear. “There’s nothing to date!”
“Not true,” they level with me. “You have no way to know that!”
That’s just my best friend (she’s the best)
Sandy Feldman. She offers reality to my brain 99% of the time. People I depend on . No countering that, so I signed up.
Coming home to the theme of this blog entry. As I browsed from more than three hundred quality singles for my first date with Great Expectations, a revelation hit me honest. For the longest time, I hadn’t had too many figurative great expectations for dating in the fun-filled path of being alive. It’s good to be single, even more so when you get out there and have fun. Holding great expectations works terrifically for those who believe.

Ways to Prevent Identity Theft
In its most austere form, identity theft occurs when someone happens on documents with critical info like account numbers. Trash bins could be treasure troves, in this thought. But this generation’s thieves surely have outgrown scavenging, according to identity theft protection firm Affinion.
Oftentimes, identity thieves take to making unsolicited calls, under the pretext that they are lenders or job hirers. When these happen, consumers should check the veracity of the caller with the company he or she claims to represent.
Regular checking of credit reports, obtainable from leading bureaus like Equifax, TransUnion, and Experian, is also recommended. These reports reflect one’s credit score and credit history.
In the same way, consumers should get their credit card statements every month. Affinion says credit card owners can sign up for free alerts on dubious transactions made under their name.
Credit cards are nonetheless safer than debit cards. So long as they have notified their issuers, credit card owners are not accountable for charges succeeding a theft.
Still, Affinion encourages consumers to make use of the many innovative security measures for credit cards nowadays. For one, MasterCard has a SecureCode feature, which asks for a special code whenever somebody swipes the card.
If one must shop online, he or she should fall back on encrypted, secure websites, which are distinguishable by URLs that begin with “https://”. Likewise, it pays to install anti-virus software and firewalls in computers.

Broadband Speeds
Broadband speed can be compared to a broad highway through which traffic moves smoothly at great speed, without any road blocks, breaks, delays or other hassles. You reach your destination straightaway without loss of time and conduct your business expeditiously. Internet broadband is similar to the breadth and smoothness of a well-designed highway, in that it enables the transfer of data instantly with a click of the mouse.
The move from dialup to broadband can also be understood by comparing it to the telephone system itself. In the old telephone system, a caller had to try connecting again and again – and then reconnect if the call did not go through due to disturbance on the line, or if the line was snapped altogether. The old-timers can very well recall the frustration in such situations – especially when some important communication was to being attempted.
It takes pretty long time to upload and download a file using a dialup modem with a speed of 28Kb/per sec, but with a broadband connection the same file can be transferred in a matter of seconds. This has become possible because the bandwidth allows for a speed in the range of 256 Kb/second to 10Mb/second. There is obviously a great gap between 28Kb/sec and 10Mb/sec. The magnitude of the difference in transmission speed can be easily understood if you know that one kilobit is equal to one thousand bits and one megabit is equal to one million bits, where a bit is the smallest unit of information.
There is one more simple technical point to be said in context of the broadband speed. There is an asymmetry between the speed at which a file is uploaded from your computer to the Internet and the speed at which it is downloaded from the Internet to your computer. It takes a longer time to upload a file and a much shorter time to download it. It is much like climbing upstairs and coming downstairs. Usually an average Internet user downloads more data than he uploads. Symmetric connections, in which upload and download speeds are the same, are available. However, symmetric connections are usually more expensive than asymmetric connections.

Home Buying – What Can You Afford?
Okay, you’ve decided to buy a home and are trying to figure out what you can afford. Before you go home buying, you need to carefully consider what you can afford as far as a mortgage payment.
Mortgage Payments
The first step you should take in determining what you can afford is to talk to a mortgage lender. In fact, the best step you can take is to go through the loan process to the extent required to get a pre-qualification letter. A pre-qualification letter tells you and a seller how big of a home loan the lender will give you.
So, once you have the loan in hand, that must be the amount you can afford? The answer is maybe or maybe not. The prequalification letter is based on a number of factors such as your earnings and credit. It is not based on a picture of your life, which can lead to problems.
Other Expenses
There is nothing worse than buying a home and straining to make the monthly mortgage payments. This situation occurs when a homebuyer relies solely on the pre-qualification letter or their own wishful thinking. You may have purchased your dream home, but don’t let the payments be a nightmare.
In determining how much you can afford to expend on a home purchase, you must consider your overall financial situation. Although you may be in a decent financial situation at the moment, do you have future expenses that will put pressure on your finances? Such situations might include:
1. Planning to have kids in the next year or so?
2. Are your current children going to college soon?
3. If you own a business, is the financial outlook stable?
4. If you work for a company, are you reasonably sure the company is headed in the right direction?
5. Do you have any concerns regarding the dreaded downsizing?
6. If you are the sole bread winner, what would happen if you were unable to work for a few months because of health issues?
These general questions are intended to wake you up to the possibility of over extending yourself on a mortgage. Every situation is different, so make sure you take a careful look at your life to make sure you are committing to a loan you can afford now and in the future.

Financing For Home Improvements
Financing for home improvements can also be considered housing costs. Housing costs is the term used to describe payments relating to your home improvement, which the financial institutions loan on the basis of your income statement. Not all of your housing costs will be met. Usually you will only be paid a standard rate of interest on mortgages, including second mortgages or other loans, which you are liable for and which were taken out in order to purchase or maintain your home.
You will not get any help with capital repayments or the cost of associated insurance premiums, including the insurance element of an endowment mortgage. If you have an endowment mortgage, it may be worth considering changing to a capital repayment mortgage, but you should seek advice first from one of the agencies. These agencies may also help you negotiate terms with your lender if you are unable to meet any shortfall between the payments due on your loan and the housing costs paid with your benefit.
The current rules on housing costs are far more stringent compared to previous years. However, if you have been claiming income-based finance continuously (apart from breaks up to 12 weeks, which are ignored) since then, your housing costs may be calculated in a different way. This is because of the fact that you may have been entitled to some transitional protection when the previous and more generous scheme was replaced.
The main change is that there is now a far longer waiting period before your full housing costs can be paid. Other significant changes include a standard rate of interest. Interest on arrears of interest, which accrue during the waiting period, or deferred interest accumulating under the terms of a low start mortgage, can no longer be met.

An Introduction to Secondary Tickets
Unless you’ve plenty of time, purchasing a concert or sports ticket before it sells out is not easy. For example, the whole Michael Jackson’s huge residency at London O2 (50 dates) was selling at a rate of 33 tickets per minute before it sold out. So just how can a person who’s got a full time job get their mitts on a ticket if they sell out so fast?
Go on the web and purchase one.
It used to be the case that the only method to get hold of a second-hand music gig or sports ticket was via a ticket tout at the event itself. This meant paying over the odds, or even perhaps being given fake tickets which would likely be spotted as you entered the event – meaning you miss the music gig or sports event while throwing away your cash by being conned.
Nonetheless, the situation has improved for sports and music lovers. The secondary ticket marketplace has improved remarkably in the last decade or so, thanks to the internet. These days there is so much competition to resell tickets on the internet, the market has actually become self-regulating. You’re selling the ticket for HOW much cash?! I’ll look elsewhere! Many ticket sellers offer insurance if the event / gig is called off. And with tough competition online, resale tickets have come right down in price to the point that it can sometimes be you’re not paying a lot more than the actual initial price of the ticket. Many ticket buyers look at prices between lots of vendors selling secondary tickets for the same event / gig. They evaluate the prices, insurance, seating, and even previous history of the seller prior to making a decision – so the power has very much transferred away from the dodgy looking tout of days gone by to the ticket purchaser.
Nowadays you can get tickets for all kinds of concerts and sporting events. From soccer to basketball matches to cricket, right through to getting hold of front row seats for a world famous band; secondary tickets provide a second chance to attend the gig you want to go to. How can you acquire tickets online? Use a search engine like Google and key in your keyphrase like Coldplay tickets, and you will discover a large range of resale ticket agents who can sell that ticket to you.
Not everyone is happy with the idea of secondary tickets however. Some people call resale ticket brokers as parasites, and desire to see the banning of resale tickets. They are missing the aim of secondary tickets : some people simply do not have the time to queue up for tickets.

Kickball And Bunting
Every damn gym class circa 6th grade played kickball at some point. And every damn gym class had the kid who refused to give the ball a real kick and instead half stepped up to the ball and “bunted.” The bunt was really a tap with the side of the foot and the ball would putter away from home plate by generally less than five feet. Since most kickball games didn’t have catchers, or had inept ones at that, the “bunt” was a pretty solid strategy for one who wished to get an “automatic” hit.
However, most circles recognize the bunter as an idiot who thinks he’s really fast and doesn’t care about self denigration in front of future hottie girls by looking like a wimp ass and refusing to really kick the ball. The bunter generally becomes a failure in life. The bunter works at Sunoco during high school and afterwards becomes the mini-mart manager and may even work a night shift as a security guard. The bunter has no morals and no ambitions. The bunter is Satan.

Emotions in Check
Playing poker online brings extreme swings between exhilaration and remorse. Everyone loves to win and there’s no greater feeling that seeing your trips turn into quads to squash a full house and win a huge pot. But then your poker online pocket Kings get smashed when 7-2 suited makes the flush.
Don’t let your emotions interfere with your game. And that means both the good and bad feelings – too much excitement generated by a win can put you on tilt just as much as anger and frustration.
poker must be looked at from the long-term perspective – think of it as one long ongoing game, with occasional slumps and spikes that offset each other. You must practice patience and persistence regardless of the outcome of each individual session to achieve positive expectation in the long run. Yes, you can learn something by replaying a losing hand in your head, but don’t obsesses about it. Look for the lesson to be learned and move on with your game. The same goes with big wins. All players get lucky sometimes. Don’t let it go to your head, making you think you are unbeatable and able to take down any table. That is magical thinking that will only hurt you in the end.
Poker is above all things a mind game – be logical, learn from your experience, and don’t let emotional swings guide your decision making.

Go through My ATT U-verse Experience
If your home considering getting u-verse be ready to think about competition – unless you enjoy choppy signals plus endless on hold times to get in touch with a person on the phone.
You probably found millions of att television experiences but I’m relaying you something different. I am totally surprised at the number individuals who were giving positive reviews.
I’m complaining because I was just on hold for 47 minutes to speak with a human being because my very 1st bill was a collections warning and a charge for $279.
After bouncing to several idiots, I was finally sent to someone who allegedly could make a fix on the amount. After 20 mins on hold, I was advised that the initial person I fought with could only change it. So, that was basically an hour long call that fixed nothing since the other office closed while I was holding.
On top of the recent time, I’ve had a guy come to my place 8 times for the horrible service. Nothing has changed.
The only reasonI selected them is because the number of channels has potential and the amount for the service below the other competitors. But without a doubt, I wouldn’t recommend att uverse to anybody.
